Well, it's also not just now-a-days, truly. Right after O'Flaherty's I posted about a session I listened in on with a wonderful Irish Uillean piper, Mickey Dunn, who comes from an itinerant Irish musical famiy. He and his 10 brothers and sisters were born and raised in a vardo, travelling all over Ireland with his father the sole wage earner from his music. The stories of bigotry and hatred he told were heart-breaking. But he's an amazing man, so loving and sharing and talented.

This seems to be a theme lately...must be telling me something, since I found that Vardo link today. Hmmm...
