LONGEST NIGHT BALL

Soon, my pretties, soon...we're starting work on the Longest Night Masqued Ball. Right now I'm looking for a few vendors for the event, there's only room (literally a room) for about 8-10 without crowding. It's gonna be *really* nifty this year. It's December 17th. It will be at SMUUCH/GAIA as it has been in years past but this time, we're going

This will be a masqued Victoriana/STEAM PUNK theme, a fabulous event styled, and I quote Kimberly here: "after Jaqueline Carey's *Kushiel's Legacy* series. We feel that the series' overall sense of polytheistic spirituality, seasonal attunement, and devotion to the ideal of freedom for each person to love as they will makes it a good source of inspiration for us, as we create the event. This year, the Ball will take inspiration from the regal and dignified House Dahlia, whose motto is "Upright and Unbending". In this case, we're looking at the sort of upright that you must be to balance a top hat on your head, and the sort of unbending that you get from a good steel-boned corset."

I am Vendor Coordinator plus wearing a few other hats. We're offering 8' x 8' spaces at a reasonable rate which include a ticket to the event.

Thanks, dear. I can't for the life of me find the hat that goes with this. I made Steampunk outfits for the whole band the year before we broke up so this is from that. Still love the costume; guess I'll have to make another hat.

And I SO want to get to Dickens on the Strand some year.

And the pageant at midnight ought to be really cool; the costume I'm making out of lids of cat food cans is for that. *g* I'm sure I'll have pictures eventually.
