September Jewelry Sale, PART 1
EDIT: I have removed the items that have sold to make it easier to view what remains. Thanks and please pass along the word that the sale is going on! AND THERE IS MORE COMING. I still have more jewelry to photograph and haven't even started on the costumes yet.
This is gonna be huge: my apologies up front here for the length of this post. I just couldn't think of a better way to do this or to keep track of it (with the accompanying spreadsheet so I can track sales, receipts and shipping. If someone has a better idea, please speak up. I also apologize for the quality of some of the images; they were the best I could do in a hurry yesterday. If someone wants to see the stuff in person, please PM me and we can make arrangements for local friends. (Edit: I've decided to do this in two posts as this is so huge, perhaps that will be more manageable. This is the first 18 of some 40 items. The two crowns are at the end. No real order to this but what I grabbed to photograph.)
Business details: Items listed here are by the photograph numbers. Payment can be cash, checks (if I know you well) or PayPal to this email: rowangolightly@gmail.com.
I must charge shipping for out of town sales and *will* insure them; the buyer's preference on shipping method but my default will be USPS. There will not be any added "handling charge" as padded envelopes are free from the Post Office. If I deliver the items to folk in town, I might need to add a fuel charge since gas is that expensive right now. And of course, I'll be happy to answer any questions about any item.
NOTE: Please (oh please!) put the item number and item in the body of the comment so I know which item you're looking at. Thanks.
Oh, and the pricing is negotiable; if you really love something, ask me and we'll discuss it. Best way I can think to do it is to comment with the number and title of the piece you wish to buy. I'll hold it for 24 hours awaiting payment. However, if multiple people want to purchase an item, I'll open bidding on that item within the comment line.
Pretty much everybody knows that I've performed at renfaires for 30+ years and have acquired lots of stuff during that time, too much jewelry, too many costumes and props, collected over the years. Not everybody knows that I have as great an addiction to jewelry as I do to fabric. This is really top-notch quality, tasteful stuff at really great prices; I've collected some gorgeous things and remember, it's not too early to do holiday shopping!
This is time-consuming stuff; I spent all of Friday afternoon and evening taking pics and editing them, then writing the descriptions and now most of Saturday evening adding the pics to this post. I really would like for this to pay off, trim my overage of stuff and for my friends to get lovely things in return.
September Jewelry and Stuff Sale
014, 015. Pewter Iris Goblet from Astral Sea Foundry sale price $75
This lovely small goblet is heavy enough to be a murder weapon but the Iris design is exquisitely done, as is all of their work.

019, 020, 021. Victorian "Amelia" China Doll sale price $50
Ok, not jewelry, but...I purchased this in England when I was over there playing QE. It came from a lovely doll shop in Fareham, near Portsmouth. It is a registered and numbered 18" piece by "Knightsbridge", in pristine condition. I have loved having it but it is time to enrich some deserving little girl's life.

022. Antique Rhinestone Bracelet. sale price $75
This came from a window shopping trip with Star in an antique shop that doesn't exist anymore, just up from Mission Mall which also isn't there anymore. She saw it first but it didn't fit her wrist, so it was mine 'cause it fit me. Tight and fastens securely with snap latch and in pristine condition, not one rhinestone missing or shaded. GORGEOUS shiny rhinestones; a piece I truly hate to let go.

026, 027 Sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet. sale price: $45
Delicate silver and turquoise bracelet set with an oval chunk of turquoise.

030, 033. Antique Rhinestone Earrings (NOT for pierced ears) sale price $45
This is a breathtaking, must-have pair of stunning, clunky earrings. They measure about 4” in length and are show-stopper glittery and shiny.

038, 039 Pewter napkin holders with butterflies and blossoms sale price $15
Again, not sure where I acquired these but they're lovely.

043, 044. Treskilian gold-tone rhinestone pin. Sale price $10
No clue where I found this, have had it for years and usually used it as a hat pin to hold in feathers for a faire hat, measures 2" across.

045, 046, 047. Rare Antique Copper Queen Elizabeth pendant sale price $200
This piece is a true mystery; no clue as to its age or history. It is solid copper portraying a full figure of Queen Elizabeth with a cursive “Q” on one side of the figure and “E” on the other. This also came from Jewelry Box Antiques and even Jeanine couldn't find out anything about it. It was *not* cheap by anyone's standards. It was in the display window as I walked by on my way back and forth to Cy Rudnick's. When Bruce and I had just met, he saw me drooling over it and bought it for my birthday and had them send it to me. Needless to say, it is not a piece I can wear anymore for all sorts of reasons. I'm not even sure what to charge for it but I know it is far more valuable than what I'm asking for it.

048, 050 Silk and dried flower Bouquet sale price $25
Blue silk roses, Ivory calla lilies, purple iris, carved wooden flowers and dried flowers make up this elegant bouquet; long stemmed, "arm sheaf" style.

052, 055. Antique Filigree 14C Gold, pale Amethyst earrings sale price $400
I purchased these earrings from Jewelry Box Antiques in Crown Center (no longer there.) I had them on lay-away for over a year and are still were the most expensive earrings I have ever purchased. I paid $600 for them but they are breath-taking and I suspect have raised in value since I bought them. I've never worn them to faire from fear of losing them. Frankly, I really don't want to sell them now but sacrifices must be made in times like these.

058, 059. Wire-wrapped crystal quartz heart with hand-made chain. sale price $100
Another wire-wrapped necklace by Deanna made with distinctive style, a gorgeous bright heart-shaped crystal and hung from custom-made link chain for me. The quartz heart measures 1" across.

061, 073. Silver, marcasite and pearl dangle earrings and pin/pendant set sale price $150
Antique, vintage 30's jointed earrings of silver set with marcasites and pearls. Silver pin with marcasites , pearls and 3 dangles comes with included detachable bale so it can be worn as a pendant. These pieces came from Jewelry Box Antique back in the late '80's. I've worn them with my SteamPunk costume.

063, 064 Round & Oval Rhinestone Dangle Earrings sale price $35
Another antique store find, in amazing shape. Very shiny and for pierced ears.

065, 066, 068. Gold two-piece Ivy pendant necklace set. Sale price $150
This gorgeous pendant with ivy leaves and vine work curled around an opal at the top and a dark amethyst at the bottom forming the the pendant. Gorgeous work I bought many years ago at the old Kansas Newman faire that used to be in Wichita at a Crafthall whose name I forget. In '04 I designed the bead setting and a friend (Rachel Bowerman) strung them for me. I have only one earring as the other one was lost at Norman Medieval faire. I wore this for my wedding and hate to part with it but I can also no longer wear it.

070, 072. K Dopita Fairy Pewter Goblet sale price $100
I bought this over a decade ago at the K Dopita booth at KCRF, this is a numbered and retired design. Someone put 'dibs' on this.

That necklace has an 18" chain and could easily have an extension added, if needed.

I'll bring it to church today so you can see it, in fact, I'm wearing it right now.
I also need to discuss something cat-related with you, if you'll help me to remember.

OK, to remember: cats.

This item has been spoken for; if someone else speaks up wanting it today, we'll have to start bidding. Otherwise it is gone.
