Couple more thoughts...
Jun. 8th, 2006 12:40 pmI've been away from the 'puter for a whole day and I'm not going to try to get caught up on my flist, I'm afraid....in the interest of getting this small mountain of things done.
I've also decided not to get into the various meme-age making the rounds. Why? I'd rather do my usual practice of saying or not saying TO each person exactly what I mean or want to say; I get me in enough trouble trying to be clear as it is. As difficult as it is to gather precise meanings without visual cues and tone of voice, I think I'll opt out. Everybody pretty much knows, or should know, how I feel about them most all the time; I'm like that and don't see it changing. Any so-called negative stuff I have to say, either I say it directly to the person, or it either doesn't need to be said at all or it needs to be said with the proper superior or mediator present so that some resolution may be made. But there's nothing like that goin' on so nobody has anything to worry about, ok. ...and believe me, if I wanna sleep with you or do anything else and you don't already know it? Well, I still don't think the 'puter is the place for that but I guess I'm funny that way.
One other thought has occurred to me lately and I am not aiming this at ANY person or group; this is a general reflection on the subject so y'all just relax. Concerning this whole topic of Drama. I've noticed that when it's your own stuff; turmoil or miscommunication or heartbreak or break-up or whatever, it's your disaster or problem to deal with and therefore it takes your primary focus. When it's anybody else's stuff, then it's called drama.
So when does avoiding or being allergic to drama mean minding one's own business and at what point does it mean not being there for a friend in need?
That's a rhetorical question, by the way...
