Home....

I arrived home about 5:30 after a drive through rain and then sun and then rain during which I was *very* sleepy much of the time. My usual remedy of singing helped some but not enough; did get me some good lyric review. Arrived home to discover that the AC is *still* not running; listening to the phone recorder, I heard a message from Jason, the AC guy, so he did try to call back. I quickly made a call to him and got him in three rings on a Sunday evening....hmmm.

So he'll be here 9:30 tomorrow morning to put in the new fan motor. I called Bruce to said to try turning in on to see if it works; I did and it did and what a relief! So we're cool for the night....literally.

It was good to see so many of the White Hart cast and friends. Di had grapes for me and news as well. I *did* check on the broom or rather she did for me...good news and very scary news both. Di called and the broom is done and will be mailed to get here in time. Bad/scary news is that our dear Basketmaker has cancer and will not do chemo; anyone who knows her well will not be surprised by this; she's determined her natural treatment and is following it. She said that she'd see us all next year and I'm sure she means at OKRF, too. Please everybody, keep her in your prayers, ok? She's a love and so is her hubby, the Blacksmith.

Chris did a fabulous job on the beginning acting classes; but that's a surprise to no one at all. We have an amazing group of folk at White Hart, eager and willing and fun. We had a blast at improv games...lots of laughter and sharing and good stuff learned. Amazing stuff no matter what level of experience. Sunday the costume stuff went effortlessly too, amazing when you have a group of people who work amicably together for the same goals regardless of diverse backgrounds, ages and experience levels. I haven't had so much fun teaching a costume class in....well, maybe ever. Huh. Restores one's faith, it does.

I even took the hand-fasting dress and got help pinning the hem so that's done; just finishing work on it to do now, drop the lining in and stuff like that. I also got help on the sash; the cord I'm using was equally frustrating to Barb who is our 'staff weaver' so I felt much better. She came up with the old macrame solution: t-pin the thing to a foam board. That's what I'm doing and I now have a flawless 8" start on it and no frustrations! Yay!

Back to work and probably won't get caught up on LJ this week.....

*hugs*
