*Giggle*

As I sit here eating some breakfast before I run to the bank, ye gods tired and weary after the weekend, I just had to share another cat funny.

Those of you who are accustomed to this household know that several of the cats like to come and go through the dining room window, by which I sit to work on the laptop here. Minka, in particular, prefers the personal service of me opening the window so she can exit or enter the house. Already this morning she's come in that way for morning 'tuna' at 6am and then back out soon as I came out here.

Just a bit ago, I had Penny, BrokenTail and poor stupid Nell all up on the table and Minka outside wanting back in. So I opened the window about half way. Minka wanted in at the precise time that BrokenTail wanted out...you guessed it. They collided headfirst right in the door opening; Minka fell back, shaking her head as if "where did that bus go" and BrokenTail, who is a bit larger and more hefty, went on out. Then Minka came back in and Penny went out.

I had to recover my composure before I could go close the window.

Cats....who needs TV for amusement?

The world is a poorer place. Yes, I'm late in finding this out, but Marcel Marceau has died.

I loved watching him my whole life; his eloquence and grace and expressiveness. Due to my ex-husband's work as a clown and a mime, I was able to see Marceau perform twice and I'm thrilled that I got to see this great artist live. Much like unto the power of classical music that is performed live, there was a passion and a beauty to seeing him live that could not be reproduced on film. It was breath-taking and utterly moving to watch him move, suspend time, fly and create worlds with his body.
