NO means no! The calls and emails going to representatives in Washington DC is 100-1 AGAINST this bail-out that will only reward the ones who caused this problem instead.
Now to piss off the other half of my flist: How about cutting the capital gains tax to ZERO? (First time I ever agreed whole-heartedly with a Republican, that I can remember!) That would fix the problem practically overnight as it would bring out the very rich ones who really don't give a rats' ass about everyone's benefit and they would start buying. Yes, it would make them richer, but NOTHING we do will change that. The only thing that really matters here is giving the market a kick in the pants to restart it. CUTTING taxes is the only way to solve that; look at the facts. History will tell you that everytime taxes are cut, the economy thrives.

The vote has just come in and we won. BUT, the House leadership of the Republicans and Democrats is right now doing backroom arm-twisting to get your representatives to change their votes. If they can get 13 Representatives to change their vote, the bailout will pass. If we all take action right now to make phone calls and emails, we can stop this effort to hijack this significant victory for the people in Congress.
