Alrighty, having worked out the kinks of that last one (I'm scaring myself that I can fix things in posts and post pictures, but anyway...)

This is the crown that stood in the display case up by the front gate when those folk who had the wire-wrapped jewelry shop that used to be there. They had lovely stuff and I have several pieces from them. When I saw this crown in the display case *naturally* I wanted it!

So I talked to them and we did a trade: Two mix-and-match costumes for them for the crown. The original price on this crown, if I can remember correctly, was $1,200. Yep, lovely thing. We had a helluva time photographing it so it wouldn't have a flash and so you could see details.

I think I'm going to put an reserve of $900 on this one. As Bob commented in the other post, with bridal season just coming on I'm hoping that somebody will fall in love with this as I did. The last couple times I've worn it was as the Angel Statue, but I don't do that often enough to warrant keeping this around. hmmm...I should do an icon of that statue, shouldn't I? One thing at a time...

This is a coronet rather than a crown (the difference being whether it is a complete circlet or not) and is completely of 14 caret gold. The beads are 8mm amethysts, the center bottom stone is a beautiful pear-shaped 12 x 18 mm CZ and the stone in the cross is a gorgous emerald-cut lab created 10 x 10mm alexandrite.

Hmmmm...think I'll post a different shot, too.
