Quickly...

Love my sweetie more than anythingl
Money sucks but at least now the van is safe to drive.
Going separate ways this weekend; Bruce and Amber to Lawton, me to Springfield, MO
Busy with deadlines
Mood better; insomnia caused by menopausal hormonal swings still suck

and Bobbi showed back up.

So life goes on...

I know you're busy, but have you had a chance to pop that check in the mail?

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-06-15 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Doh! I'm an idiot....no, but I'll remedy that right away.

Sorry!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-06-15 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Howdy! Just curious if you've sent that check yet. I haven't seen it yet and I hope it didn't get lost in the mail. Ten days is a long time to get here from OK. Lemme know, thanks!

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
hmmmm...lemme check.

Last week was so nuts I'm hoping I didn't leave the envelope rather than putting it in the box.

I'm glad to hear about Bobbi, mood improving, sorry to hear about money. I think technology requires periodic sacrifice. Like the ancient gods... From Wikipedia, with my annotations...

Gods need sacrifice to sustain themselves and their power.
Cars need gas, oil, timing belts, electrical repairs... Or they get bitchy...
Sacrificed goods are used to make a bargain with the god, who has promised some favour in return for the sacrifice.
Cars may decide to start, and even carry you places, if they are otherwise kept properly appeased.
Sacrifice deprives the followers of food and other useful commodities, and as such constitutes an ascetic discipline.
Yep... Eating, Driving... decisions, decisions...

:)

Yeah, dammit...wish we could just feed the damned contraptions with hay!

Thanks...yeah, the little demon! I hardly see her during the summer!

All of you, travel safely this weekend. The summer traffic has begun.

One of my favorite movie exchanges (from Continental Divide):

He: Lady, I'll DIE out there!

She: Life is full of little trade-offs.

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-06-15 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Another one I guess I need to see, huh?

[identity profile] jcw-da-dmg.livejournal.com 2006-06-16 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that's the high point of the movie. It had a lot of potential but didn't really do much with it. I was madly in love with Blair Brown, though.

Played w/ sewing machine yet ???

Did you get the manual or not ?

I hope you give it the love it deserves and it treats you right as well :)

Thanks again for getting it.

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-06-16 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no, I didn't find the manual. And hell, I haven't really even played with the industrial serger Bruce bought me last fall. I'm busting ass getting caught up with deadlines and with this new faire before I can rearrange the room enough to put it in here. So unfortunately, it's in the garage until I do. "Up here" is literal...m sewing room is on the second floor over the garage. It's gonna take more than me and Bruce to get it in and up those damned stairs!

But yes, I'm thrilled to have it and I'm sure we'll get along just fine.

*hugs Bobbi & Susi*

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-06-16 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
*grin* Thanks, sweetie...

I guess I shouldn't worry if she just shows up every other day or so just to eat but I can't help it!

*hugs back!*
