Feeling strongly....

...that I needed to come in from the garden and post these thoughts right now.

Never doubt that Magic exists, by whatever definition you wish to use. It is always there in the smallest miracles around you. You just need to be still, open up and recognize them for what they are; they're waiting for you to notice.

Never doubt that the world is a wondrous place filled with love and joy and abundance; "good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over in your lap" and simply waiting for you to receive it. But you have to look for it and expect it and know you deserve it. WYSIWYG, truly.

Never doubt that the kindnesses and small loving acts you perform for whatever reason come back to you in the most wonderful and unexpected ways, four-fold at the very least. However, don't do those kindnesses for that purpose alone for the intention must be selfless, done for the simple joy of service and loving-kindness.

Never doubt that the loving impulses you allow yourself to express are prompted by Divine Love using you as a conduit to shine more Love throughout this universe. The more loving impulses you allow yourself to show, the more they'll be expressed and come back to you in ways you'll never, ever expect.

Living life in gratitude is a blessed, wonderful way to live, even if we only can stand bits of it at a time. But the more gratitude we express, the more we're able to feel.

Yes, this is prompted by something that just happened but I'm not ready to discuss it at the moment. Someone is giving me a gift that is so unexpected; I don't think she even realizes how precious it is and will be to me. Following an impulse by my Sweetheart for us to do a small musical kindness that became a lovely little tradition for us, and following an impulses of my own has lead to a miracle that will be able to be enjoyed by many people in times to come.

No, it's not a huge thing, but so lovely and unexpected when done as a gift that I'm nearly overwhelmed at the moment. It's at times like this that I feel my mother's presence so very strongly. She always said, "Attitude is everything" right along with "eat your vegetables" and "wash your hands" and you know, she was hardly ever wrong. Certainly not in this.

And now back out to the garden. Anybody want some maple seedlings?

one of my favorite quotes:

Treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster. Your life will never be the same again. -Og Madino

Absolutely. Funny thing; I got to meet Og Mandino once through my father's fund-raising work. Very neat fella.

So very true...it's good to be reminded now and then to act towards others as you would want to be treated.

My mom brought me home a shirt from her travels. It has a blooming flower on it and says, "Attitude is everything. Pick a good one!"

I like it muchly.

Glad you are receiving joy today...you certainly deserve it.

You have no idea how much I needed to read those words. Neither did I until I read them. Thank you for sharing. XO
