The Gypsies used to camp about an hour north of here on the banks of the river every summer. A lot of their caravans looked like that, but, as you said a lot more colorful, and always strewn with colorful clothes drying in the sun.
They don't come any more. There's a housing development there and city ordinances prohibit camping.
