Reading back in my journal, I realized that I never told the results of the audition

I got the part. I will be playing the Mother in "We Can Do It" which will be performed by Kansas City Women's Chorus on March 24th (Friday evening) and 25th (Saturday matinee) at the Downtown Airport Hanger.

It will really be an awesome, moving, inspiring show about the women of WWII with song and dance and actual women veterans and Rosey the Riveter women onstage during the final number of it.

PLEASE get tickets and come see this!

It's just a couple minute long monologue in the middle, along with several others. Not particularly challenging but very nuanced. But it is the longest and the most tear-jerking in a truly wonderfully written musical show. The biggest victory was overcoming the last several horribly disastrous audition experience failures.

I'm going to relish every minute of it. And of course, I'm making a dress and an apron, both from vintage patterns and fabric from my stash.

I'll be posting links on Facebook; I really hope friends can come. It is a highly significant and moving show about WWII women.
