Long time!

I'm baaack! Ye gods - so much LJ to catch up but I'll start out with 'hugs!'
I'm with Bruce and we've got most of the Christmas shopping done and we have Amber home - YEAH! - so good to have her home. Now off soon to the Castle Christmas party (after a brief stop at Priscilla's for a bad gift.)

Hugs to all - I'm in a great mood! Maybe we'll even get to do some music and to tape some stuff for Amber to take back with her.

Fun and Relaxing Day

It's been a lovely day. Slept in a bit, got up and fixed breakfast for Bruce and Amber. Then putzed around the house until Jess and Nicole came over and we got ready to go. We just got home from the Castle Christmas party and now we're sitting around relaxing and catching up on LJ, email and other computer stuff. Amber, Nicole, Jess and I are going to make cookies tomorrow so we're also deciding what to make. Oh yes, and Nicole's emptying out her purse which got run over by the car - another story! But her Curious George got smashed and some of her lip glosses. Ya had ta been there!

The party was lots of fun - very relaxing pot luck with a 'dirty Santa' gift exchange. This involves (for those who are clueless as I was before this event) numbering off and choosing a gift from under the tree. Once gifts start being opened, the next person can decide whether to open a new gift or take someone else's away from them and then that person must either take someone else's or open up a new one. The gift can be taken up to four times - the hilarity ensues when there is either a really tacky gift or there is one that everyone wants. Jeff in the straw Acapulco cap with the light-up-Rudolph-nose was a sight to see! I ended up with a lovely floral thong and Bruce with a brand new jar of vasoline - hmmmm. I really wanted him to end up with the t-shirt; the one saying, "See, I can multitalented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time." Jess got an ex-rated apron, Dru got a beaded thingy and Amber - well - they weren't all x-rated gifts, there were some really nice things too! There was a neat photo album of some great faire shots that everybody wanted but Jeff ended up, I think. We just didn't end up with them - go figure. Before the gift exchange we started come carole singing with both Bruce and Jon playing guitar and me and the dear Gray family singing whatever verses we can manage to remember and then Amber got her whistles and we had a great time. It was fun spending time with Jon and Heidi - nice and relaxing. A good time was had by all!
