Potions, Visualizations and Rambling...

Hey Josie, wasn't our last mixture able to control lightening too? And whathehell is a Tum Tum Tree?
...and on to houses! Yes, we found one and it is awesome! Further out than perhaps will be convenient for sewing clients but if I'm going more in the direction of home decor and the web-site mail-order business, shouldn't be a problem at all. And it *is* only about 6 blocks away from the Murphy's and much closer to both faire site and Lawrence - all happy things!
The house is PERFECT! Everything I visualized (see! it *does* work!) It has 4 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 baths, finished basement with built-in bar and media wall (yes, we will be having the new years party there) and still with storage room in basement level, lovely kitchen with table space, small fenced-in back yard with deck, 2 car garage with built in workbench/storage room, frontroom with fireplace, dining room. And really reasonable rent for such an amazing house! The owner is one of the guys who was showing us townhomes last week. He and his wife have built a home and were selling their existing house but the sale fell through. He thought of these three nice women he'd just shown houses to and thought, "hey!" so he called Dory this morning and we went to look at it this afternoon.
Excitement! So after fencing, broke the news to roomie, which went well. Now he either needs to find another roommate or move himself. But seems optimistic about it - I'm very glad. This arrangement was fair onto ruining our friendship, which would be a shame! But I know this much - sublease or move, my name is coming *off* all the utilities and the lease; I will not remain in any way responsible for this place. And then all the sorting/packing/moving stuff begins. And yes - we will be calling on friends for help with the moving process. It looks like we may be able to rent some storage for a bit to try to make this whole thing a bit organized (ha!) and yes, we will do barbeque to thank all our wonderful friends who help (hint! hint!)
So tomorrow I must get up and work as tomorrow afternoon I go with Dad to the VA for his eye surgery. And sewing to do, and music to learn and then the weekend again. And Charles to be there? I *so* miss that man! What a dear he is - we were partners at faire for almost all the "Jacquelyn" years - did a mock wedding between our characters the same year I married Richard ('88) and always joked that between the two marriages, I shoulda stuck with him - we made a better 'go' of it!
Off to bed now!

jmthanesium is a cloudy, soft tan solid obtained from the heart of a wildcat. |
rowangolightlyium is a milky, runny red gel siphoned from the leaves of the Tum-Tum tree. |
Mixing jmthanesium with rowangolightlyium causes a violent chemical reaction, producing a translucent tan potion which gives the user the power of summoning lightning. |
