Lovely morning!
Feb. 16th, 2006 08:07 amIt's a perfectly gorgeous morning here; the sun is just finished chasing away the whispy clouds that were helping the moon play hide-and-seek as it perched on a limb of the pecan tree in the back yard. There's a cardinal praising his own beauty while the grackles argue about Robert's Rules of Order in the next yard. The air caresses the skin like azure velvet. I do believe that it rained just a little last night.
Rain... "what's that? she whispered, "Oh, it's that wet stuff that used to fall from the sky; we used to call it Rain!"
I've propped the back door open about a half a foot so Minko, aka BitchyBoy, the great farting cat can come and go as he pleases rather than standing on whichever side of the door he's on and crying to be on the other side. Terry is meandering inside and out, enjoying the freedom of choice.
Today I must finish this wedding dress to deliver tomorrow and post the jewelry and crowns on eBay. Crowns, you say? Yep, I have three, you know. And I don't see me wearing either Jacquelyn crown plus I have more jewelry than Carter has little liver pills, many pieces that I never, ever wear.
So after Iwasted the entire afternoon tried to photograph them yesterday with no luck, my sweetie and I worked at it last night. Much better! We did get some good images, finally, and I learned a lot about using the Gimp and editing and cropping photos so you're all in danger now of being inundated with images here!
Anyway...I must write these descriptions for these items and get them posted. If anyone wants to see what I'm selling before I post, well, I think I'll try putting one here.

Yes, this is the crown that I wore as Princess Jacquelyn that I had made to coordinate with Charles Brunner's when we were partners and did that fun wedding between our characters in '88. It was custom-made for me by Jeff Gonner of "Dragon's Hoard" (I think that's right!) who is at KCRF and Scarby both. Great guy and does lovely work. It's a sterling silver circlet with a lovely 12 x 15mm faceted amethyst in the center and two 7mm cabochon amethysts, one on either side in the filigree design. Remarkably lovely piece and completely unique. It will have a reserve on eBay of $700, I think. There's nothing else like it out there...except for Charlie's crown and I don't see him selling that anytime soon.
Just wait until you see the next one! ...next post. Oh damn...just realized that it's my mother's birthday. Alrighty, different icon, then.
[Edit. Well, crap. Worked the first time but the paragraph was smooshed together. Fixing it fubared the image. Have I ever mentioned that I hate computers? I thought so. I'll try once more and then get to the stuff I *must* do today. Gotta get this stuff on eBay. I'm outa here.}
