  1. blueberries:
BLUEBERRIES! ...has a whole new meaning now! *giggle*
But truly, I love blueberries. Anything with blueberries; pancakes, muffins, cobbler, pie...mmmm!
  2. charles de lint:
One of my absolutely favorite authors ever.
  3. costuming:
Well, duh! My living for nearly 20 years and an avid avocation before that. I never got over loving to play dress-up!
  4. fairies:
I love everything to do with fairies...the wings, the wispy clothes, the stories, just the idea of fairy. Fairy tales new and old; before they were Victorianized and after.
  5. gardening:
Another duh! I love to garden and am learning more and more about it. I want to build raised garden bed for this spring!
  6. living statues:
Another part of my profession. Living statues are so much fun to do and a great way to earn a living when I can get gigs. Yes, really hard work but still, I love it.
  7. music:
Music is like air to breath or food for sustenance. It's always been Classical music for me, really ever since I was born...Mozart, Grieg, Tchaikovski, Brahms, Mahler... Now Celtic music is becoming that way, such a wonderful part of my life.
  8. r.a. salvatore:
Another author I love to read. Pete introduced me to his books and named his cats after three of the characters. Good stuff; I need to catch up.
  9. robert heinlein:
The best....started reading him in junior high and life has never been the same since. His ideas and his characters helped form who I am.
  10. show tunes:
I love showtunes...I'm not nearly as good at them as Angelbedwell or Malvito but I still love 'em.

Feeling better! Having my sweetie come home and sympathize and bring me tooth mortar to plug the hole in my tooth helped immensely; no more shock when I drink cold or hot stuff and I can actually eat again.

This was rehearsal night, so after supper we rehearsed even despite Amber's headache *sigh* and got some good work done. I feel pretty damned useless during the instrumental part of the rehearsal so I shucked pecans for banana bread and oatmeal cookies. We have wonderful company arriving tomorrow and plans to look forward to on the morrow for the weekend. Plus it's a good day when I get to watch my sweetie playing his guitar. He's so cute when he's playing; wrapped up in the music and really enjoying the sounds. He's so very good and really unaware of being so; a part of him just lives for the music and that'a beautiful thing to watch.

Counting blessings is always good to do.

And then his sister Susan
She took me pickin' blueberries
She made my hair stand on end in a whole 'nother way...

Salvatore: As long as he actuially writes instead of mailing in some of his manuscrpits, he's good. Though allowing him to write Star Wars and draft all his D&D Buddies into writing other books was possibly the dumbest thing I ever saw. (BUt just one guy's opinion)

Blueberries: Yeah... ummm.....yeah. Ain't enough Cranial Clorox for that. So instead stoicism will have to work. :o)

ooohh Charles De Lint.. I have lots of his books.. loved him enough that when I was better off financially I bought several of his books from Subterranean Press and got the autographed copies.. I actually spent 200 bucks a few years ago on a First edition copy of Triskell Tales from his wife on Ebay. I also have a couple of his wifes ceramic pieces that she sold on ebay.. very nice people..If I ever make it to Ottawa, I'm going to find the bar they play music at every week.

I'm glad you found temporary tooth relief!

About the time I first found his books, which was about '96 or so, I was in the Borders in OP getting a second one and I ran into some rennie friends who'd stopped doing faire years before. They highly recommended him...and told me that he'd just died! Heartbreak!

'Course, the rumours of his demise were greatly exaggerated! He seems like a wonderful person from his afterwords and his web-site. Honey, if you ever make it to Ottawa, you have a travelling buddy! I'd love to check it out and see some of the places that he's written about, I surely would...

I think I remember reading on his website that one of the reasons he started his own website was because of that death rumor on the web. I just did a quick check on his site to see if he had updated his personal appearance page.. nope, not yet BUT Mary Ann does have a few auctions on Ebay. She has some vintage patterns from 1930's & 40's! http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZreclectica

Wouldn't that be a blast! Travelling to Ottawa, exploring the area and enjoying good Celtic music in a pub by one of our favorite writers.. sigh.. now I am daydreaming.. Ken has to stay home, you would appreciate the trip much more than he would.. *giggle*
