Yesterday was fun...not Museum of Science & Industry like we thought but the Field Museum which rocks and the Planetarium instead. Lovely weather as it cooled off quite a bit and actually rained some while we were in the Adler Planetarium which was wonderful.

This morning we did the Shedd Aquarium and I got to see sea dragons, sea otters and the beluga whales...really, really neat.

Home tomorrow; long drive but it's been a wonderful visit. We had a great dinner with Josie & Nancy with GREAT pizza (thanks for the recommend, Fionnabhar!)

Now off to sleep...I have muscles in my feet that I don't remember hurting from walking this much. Hopefully this will spur me on to continuing to exercise and lose a bit of this pudge before the wedding!

Glad you are having a great time in the Windy City. I wish you a safe return to Sooner Land.

For some strange reason, I would say that if guys are looking at your bit of pudge, they are missing out on some of your finer parts. ;-)

Well, truly, it's mostly that fitness issue. I can feel the extra weight in my knees and hips when I'm doing as much walking as I did this week. In three weeks I'm heading into 7 weekends of walking around KCRF and performing and I need both the wind and the stamina.

Plus, yes I'll admit it, the Bruce does prefer slender women and has asked nicely.

No, actually we don't....no time for one between work and weekends of faire.

We plan on taking a trip somewhere later. But I'm not crossing my fingers at this point.

I hate feeling my age! And the Pudge ain't pleasant on my hips nor my knees.

Although I'd adore taking Pudgie around for a walk! How cute!

Personally I prefer Leona's. But Giordano's is pretty darn good.

Field Museum is way cool; I haven't seen the others even though they're *right there*. We didn't have time since friends & I had flown into Chicago to see the Field Museum & Star Wars exhibit at the time and then took the train home the same day.

Glad you had a good time though!

There's SO much to see! I'd lived there during high school and had never made it to either the Field Museum, the Aquarium nor the Planetarium!

Spent too much of that time at the Art Institute and Concert Hall but it was worth it.

And it was good to see you and [livejournal.com profile] 5rings. We need to do this sort of thing a little more often. :-D

I do SO wish I could have been there; but with only two chances to practice before MiRF (and the fact that we've blown off too many practices already) it was just not possible.
