Well, it was a lovely weekend (yes, I know it's now Monday - but when you work most weekends, well, you know...) Got to go to O'Malleys and listen to Red McWilliams and Jon Reneau, as well as... surprise - a 4 song set by Bruce the Bruce! He did a great job and got some lovely compliments from Red.

And I also got to the final day of KCRF's academy; I had to see Chris Johnson and make sure with my very own eyes that he's ok. And yes - he's very chipper and you'd never know anything was wrong, except the warmth of the hug that shows he's not taking life or friends for granted at the moment! I sincerely hope this was a good wake-up call for him - dear, dear man that he is.

As to why the week-end was so lovely - I'm not tellin' (I DON't kiss and tell!) except to relate one funny that had us both giggling. The interesting observation was made, "Now why do you call out to God when you're, um, excited, if you're Pagan?" It was decided that if any particular diety was invoked that he/she might be offended, or worse, wanna come play along! Be careful what you ask for! LOL - simply lovely fun. Ok, perhaps not so simple afterall - but lovely, nonetheless.
*Sigh*

And then fencing practice again tonight. Jeez - this is kicking my butt. And I'm insisting on doing it ambidextrous. (groan) But if Mark can compete at the Olympic level, well, I can start over at *almost* 49. Yikes - yep, it is staring me in the face right around the corner. Honestly, I don't mind; I feel great! But I've gotta practice - my lunges are off balance and I don't wanna hurt my knees. I'm gonna hurt in the morning!

And now off to bed - I'm in the Congo tomorrow with the Silverback Gorillas! Yay!
