I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

There's a 40% chance of rain in Joplin on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I haven't finished my queenly rain cloak. I have one and a half days to finish everything.

Bruce-bossman just booked a Camel ride. *chuckle* He was afraid to call and tell me, so he had Lane call.

Where in the nine hells are we going to put a Camel? (Don't answer that!)

PRAY for no rain this week in Joplin, at least after Wednesday, ok? Please?

Apparently, he's always wanted one....

Maybe he thought that the camel, being a 'ship of the desert' would ward off the rain :)?

*chuckle* That's what I thought too...

Being a ship of the desert, it could go in the harbor, yes? ;;)

Well, I'm also worried about move in and set up on Wednesday and Thursday but yes, far more critical for the weekend itself.

Where are you getting that forecast? Everything I'm looking at says 10% on Saturday and 20% on Sunday. Which is good because I'm utterly clueless about how to form the fabric I have into cloaks.

I was looking at a local tv station forecast which is obviously flawed, or stupid because they've not changed the forecast for 4 hours now.

This is the latest I've seen:
http://www.weathercentral.com/weather/us/cities/mo_joplin.html
which looks considerably better. A WHOLE helluva lot better, as a matter of fact.

But there's no escaping that it's going to be chilly during the nights.

Even if it's a serious answer?

Next question: do you mean in the faire, or overnight?

*LOL*

I believe it's a camel-ride sort of camel. I told her, "Well, at least it's not an elephant!"

Camel huh? Personally I wanted a lama...

As for the weather...I have no doubt in my mind that it is going to be a Beautiful weekend, and setup is going to go off wihtoug a hitch! Damnit!

From: [identity profile] ladyniniane.livejournal.com
No, you don't want a lama - they just drone on all day...

Now, a llama - that's something else entirely. But they do like to bite...

"The one-l lama, he's a priest.
The two-l llama, he's a beast.
And I will bet a silk pajama
There isn't any three-l lllama.*"

-- Ogden Nash

to which Nash appended the footnote:
*The author's attention has been called to a type of conflagration known as a three-alarmer. Pooh.

Well, I've always liked and trusted Gary Lezak. Haven't thought of him since I moved away. Wonder if that very sweet dog he had is still around.

That's another story...she and I judged a cake contest together once.

You're about my size, height-wise. I have a gorgeous green velvet cloak lined with the ultra-soft fleece, which has been waterproofed as much as a non-plastic-based fabric can be, with trim around the face in the same fur as my sleeves. The velvet comfortably covers a hoop, at least the medium-diameter ones that I wear. The fleece is cut to allow arm movement. Cats have never peed on it, and it's currently clean. Would you like me to ship it to you, either via mail or someone from here who may be going up there? I sincerely doubt that I'll need it further this season at Scarby, and I've got a backup cloak anyway.

Aw hon...thank you! I have two things I can wear and really need to finish the one; it's blue and has crowns woven into the fabric! I just need to manufacture the hour or so to stitch around the armholes and add a bit of trim.

But you're such a doll for offering!
