An old friend...
Mar. 12th, 2007 03:22 pmYes, I'm Posty McPost today.
But
rougewench just posted links to YouTube performances of an old friend I've not had the pleasure of seeing in oh, a couple of decades or so. Guy Forsyth was the 'original' Robin Hood at KCRF years and years ago, with oodles of charm and charisma, one just knew that he had some sort of future in entertainment.
In those days, we always had a kick-ass Performers' Party with an honest-to-gods Talent show and you could always count on seeing not only the guys of the Jolly Rogers up there but also Guy and whomever he was jamming with at the time; really, really damned good stuff. *sigh* 'Course, that was when they had parties on site and we were actually allowed to party everybody all together, instead of now...yeah. *sniff* Yes, those were the good old days. And I do miss them to that extent. Now it's, well no, I won't bitch about it here. Those of you who remember, cheers! Those of you who don't know what you're missing, too damned bad, and I mean that very sincerely. Those were some very good times, even if I never did get laid on site like most everybody else did. I was just way too reserve/shy/square back then but I hid it the best I could, yes, I did.
Anyway...go give this bad boy a listen. I'll be damned if he looks even one day older than the last time I saw him, far as I can tell. He was always one really hot number. Killer dimple and one hellvua nice guy to boot.

And did I say 'talented'? Hell, yeah. This guy can really play those blues!
