Another wedding detail...

It seems that most of the reasonably-priced hotel rooms near the festival site are already booked up for Labor Day weekend....color me surprised.

I've put up some of the nearby hotels and motels on "accommodations" on our wedding web-site here:

We have a GREAT many wedding guests coming in from out of town. Frankly, I think JS is about to get a surprise as to how much his attendance will jump for first weekend. Some of these folk are needing places to stay. If they're friends of mine, you know they'd be good house guests; courteous and fun.

If you live in KC or Lawrence or nearby KCRF and have room for fun house guests on Labor Day weekend, the first weekend of faire, would you please comment here? I'm screening all comments so that any private information will remain so.

Also, if you need a place to stay that weekend, would you also comment here.

And if somebody can think of a better way to do this so I'm not adding to my monumental list of stuff to do, PLEASE speak up!

Crash Space

I have some space available for folks who are coming up. Couch, twin bed in LRD's room and my queen sized air mattress are all available and additional floor in my office and living room as well. I have two full bathrooms and can shuffle things about to make life easier on guests for a few days. I have two adult cats that are well behaved and friendly. My place is about 30 min from faire site.

You are a darling! My biggest concern ATM are the folk who are coming up from TX; friends from Scarborough faire as they're travelling the longest distance and therefore have the highest expenses. There may be two of them or they may be 5-6, depending on if Amanda can get her family's van to drive up in.

Well, with the lack of overwhelming response so far, I don't know that we're going to be able to place everybody into crash space. I think I've found someplace for 'Manda and whoever is coming with her but that's about it so far.

Looks like I'm going to have to do some more research into the surrounding hotels, or find someone who's willing to do it to see if there's still some reasonably-priced rooms somewhere if we can't find crash space for everybody.

And may we call you tonight or have you call us, to talk about rings?
